Publication Ethics

The editorial board of the scientific journal *Ұлт жады* is guided in its activities by the principles of publishing ethics formulated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to international standards of scientific ethics. All participants in the publishing process—the editorial board, authors, and reviewers—are required to observe these principles.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
The editorial board makes decisions regarding the publication of articles based solely on their scientific merit, originality, validity, and relevance to the journal's scope.
The editorial board evaluates manuscripts based on their intellectual content, without regard to the authors' race, gender, nationality, origin, citizenship, religious beliefs, or political views.
The editorial board ensures a double-blind peer review process and guarantees confidentiality: information regarding a submitted manuscript is not disclosed to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, and the publisher.
Unpublished materials are not used by editorial staff in their own research without the author's written consent.
The editorial board prevents conflicts of interest and takes appropriate action upon receipt of substantiated ethical complaints.

Responsibilities of Authors
Authors present accurate results from their own original research that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other publications.
Authors guarantee the originality of the text; borrowed material and quotations are properly cited with references to the sources.
All individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research are listed as co-authors; authors specify the individual contribution of each person.
Authors provide their ORCID persistent digital identifier and institutional affiliation.
If a significant error is discovered in a published work, the author is obliged to notify the editorial board promptly so that the article can be corrected or retracted.

Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers conduct an objective and reasoned assessment of the manuscript, avoiding personal criticism of the author. The reviewer maintains confidentiality and does not use information from the manuscript under review for personal purposes.
The reviewer discloses any conflict of interest to the editorial office and declines to review the manuscript if such a conflict exists.
The reviewer points out any lack of references to significant published works on the subject.

Unethical behavior
The following are considered unethical: submitting reviews of one’s own articles; collusive or pseudo-peer review; using publication agency services; falsifying the list of authors; publishing pseudoscientific texts; transferring manuscripts to other journals without the authors' consent; sharing authors' materials with third parties; violating copyright or the confidentiality of editorial processes; citation manipulation; plagiarism; and data falsification or fabrication.
