Generative AI Ethics

The editorial board of the scientific journal *Ұлт жады* acknowledges the development of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and establishes the following rules regarding their use in the preparation and peer review of scientific publications.

1. Authorship
Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT and similar systems) cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a scientific article. Authorship entails responsibility for the work's content and consent to its publication—criteria that do not apply to software tools.

2. Disclosure of Use
Authors are required to disclose the use of generative AI during the preparation of the manuscript. Details regarding AI usage (the name of the tool, version, purpose, and nature of application) must be stated in the "Acknowledgments" section or within the description of the research methodology.

3. Author Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the reliability, accuracy, and scientific validity of the article's content, including any sections generated with the aid of AI. Authors are obligated to verify the generated material for factual errors, incorrect references, and potential plagiarism.

4. Prohibited Use
The use of generative AI for the fabrication or falsification of data, or for the creation of unreliable results, images, references, or pseudoscientific content, is strictly prohibited.

5. Peer Review
Reviewers are not permitted to upload manuscripts—or parts thereof—to public generative AI services, as doing so violates the confidentiality of the materials under review.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject a manuscript or retract a published article in the event of a violation of these rules.
