Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLES

The editorial board of the scientific journal «Ұлт жады» accepts for publication only original manuscripts not published elsewhere. Manuscripts are submitted to the editorial office strictly in compliance with the formatting rules.

Manuscripts are first checked for originality using the “StrikePlagiarism” system. If the result is satisfactory, the manuscript is sent for peer review. After receiving a positive review, the editorial board notifies the authors of acceptance for publication, together with the reviewers’ and editors’ comments, which must be addressed and incorporated into the revised article.

If publication is declined, the editorial board provides the author with a reasoned rejection. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of historical sources, quotations, statistical and sociological data, proper names, geographical names, and other factual information used.

In-text references must include the author’s last name, year of publication, and page (Qozybayev, 1992: 77). For collections of articles or archival materials, the editor/compilers may be cited instead of the author. For works co-authored by two authors, both should be indicated (Takenov, Baygaliev, 1993: 17). For works with three or more authors, only the first author is listed followed by “et al.” (Omarbekov et al., 2011: 87). Archival sources should be cited only by case and sheet number (State Archive RK, 2243: 35).
